the SD 400 but uses a slightly larger transmitter with a more powerful
antenna for longer range. The SD 800 is a 1/2 mile system compared

The SportDOG SportHunter
SD-800 is an incredibly versatile training collar and a good choice
for all-around use. The SD 800 brings features from the higher end
of the remote collar price range into the under $200 price range.

It's submersible, too! Drop the transmitter in the water, fish it
out, and keep on training. Perfect for retriever training. Rechargeable
NiMH batteries. They're user replaceable, too. Heavy duty. They
last 3-5 years with proper care. It's smart. The SD-800 has a Low
Battery Detect Indicator to make sure you don't get out in the field
with dead battery, and a built-in LED Battery Charge Indicator which
lets you know when your transmitter is finished charging. The SD-800
transmitter is small enough to hang on a lanyard. Compact SD-800
remote transmitter weighs 5.6 ounces and measures 2" by 1" by 7"
with antenna. The "SportHunter" SD-800 transmitter is ergonomic
and feels as good as it looks. The comfortable "Soft coat" transmitter
finish makes this unit a pleasure to handle. Easy to upgrade to
2 or 3 dogs. Change MODES in seconds by setting the dial and pressing
a recessed button on the back of the transmitter. You'll have to
use a pen or other small, hard object.
